The 21 Elements of Tee

1. I was Born and raised in Baltimore, MD

2. I love art

My obsession with art allows me to express it through various avenues, and  Fashion is one of them.

3. My first car was a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado
I was so embarrassed driving that big boat to school. I actually parked down the street, so people wouldn’t notice me. Although all the guys in the neighborhood loved it.

4. I’m an Introvert
I enjoy solitude, and never find myself bored. I feel creatively charged when I have time to be alone with my thoughts.

5. I have a notoriously dry sense of humor
People laugh a lot when they’re around me, and half the time, I don’t even try to be funny.

6. Love all genres of music
Especially Oldies but Goodies, Neosoul, Real Hip Hop, and Reggae.

7. I Hated working a 9 to 5
I took the steps to become my own boss. I’m into real estate, personal finance, and various forms of marketing.  Add me on Linkedin!

8. I’m a writer
My style of writing could be described as narrative humor, informative, analytical, reflective, and persuasive.

9. I’m a Health Nut
I do have my guilty pleasures. I’m human! lol (Follow my wellness tumblr page, VitaliTEE)

10. I’m an Aries
I know what I want, how to get it, and not afraid to go after at.

11. I Love Basketball
I played ball most of my life. I’m a Ex Kobe hater, and a born again Lebron fan (Go Cavs!)

12. I’m a Ex Pot head

13. Always had the gift of Public Speaking

I took English honors classes in school and was always chosen to be valedictorian for my 5th, 8th, and 12th grade graduation. Giving a talk in front of 500 people is less stressful to me, than conversing one on one, or in a small group. I’m more of a listener when it comes to those two interactions. When I’m in front of an audience, I feel as though I have this sense of power. People can feel that energy, and that motivates me to give my best delivery. As a child, Grams would always say, “Speak up! Speak up!” so I always had that mindset on stage. I just have to get over my pre public speaking jitters. As far as my goals and future plans, I know I’ll have to participate in public speaking some day, so I have to get prepared now.

14. I Can Rap
I’m still trying to figure out how I fit it into my grown woman persona. People are constantly asking me to rap, but I’m like “That’s the old Tee.”  And it’s crazy because I’m always at the studio, and have never recorded anything. I’m always playing the “Behind the Scene” role, instead of getting behind the mic.

15. I’m an all around patient person (with the exception of traveling, texting, and business affairs).
I hate road trips. I like to reach my destination fast, so that causes me to speed and get tickets. Put me in the passenger seat of a car, a train, or a plane, and I’m good. I’m still a little nervous about cruises.

As far as texting, I really judge people based on how they text.  I hate dry texting, so save both of us the favor and don’t text me at all.

I don’t even believe in business partners anymore. People drag their feet too much. Like Spike Lee say, “They’re chucking and jiving!”

16. I Love children
But, I’m VERY strict with them. It’s all about discipline and education with me.

17. I Had locs for over 12 years
I always wanted locs growing up, but my mother would never allow me to get them. She would always say, “Why do you want those nasty stinky dirty things? Let’s perm your hair.” Even though she always kept my hair done, there were times I’d be like, “Ma, what the hell is this !?!?”

This is an example #DJM

18. My mother says I’m Nonchalant
I think I’m only nonchalant when it comes to having sympathy for individuals who play the victim role all the time.

19. I can’t swim
When I’m in the water, I’m doing a lot of work, but not going anywhere.

20. My circle is very small
Me and drama don’t get along.

21. I want to believe that I’m NOT rare
But my life is like a movie or dream, and sometimes I have to pinch myself to know that it’s real. I don’t know if it’s a gift or a curse.
